Real estate brokerage is a very important sphere of economy, since the real estate market represents a barometer of the economic activity of a specific country. This is becoming even more important  when it comes to investment, because as the area regulated according to the European business models, it gives confidence to potential investors.
At the moment, 1141 agents have received the certificate on passed professional exam, and by the end of this month and the current exam period, up to 1,250 licenses are being expected to be issued for the performance of brokerage activities in real estate trade and lease. It was estimated that in Serbia there are approximately 1,300 agents, but the number of candidates in the exams, confirms that interest in these jobs is far greater.

As Minister of Economy, Mr. Zeljko Sertic said on this occasion "the beginning of the activities on the regulation of this area was in November 2011, in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Trade Association, by forming of the Group of real estate intermediaries of Serbia. By adopting the Law, real estate intermediaries did a great job because they have made an effort to raise the quality of work within the business area and set themselves high criteria. You have set yourself status changes so that you need to take the exams. In a long term, you are great winners. You've done a great job, you're the ones that came with the initiative, it is you who have created the Law, you were persistent to bring it to daylight and fought for the best solutions. "
